The 2018 is a luscious Merlot. In the glass, the color exhibits deep garnet tones. On the nose, you're greeted with notes of violet, dark fruit, black licorice, and pepper. The 2018 is a blend of Merlot (86%) with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon (14%). It is fermented in French oak—33% new—for 18 months before being bottled in the spring, then bottle-aged for an additional 30 months before release.
